Summary of this quarters meeting
This quarter the JEF discussions included:
Engagement Activity Round-up
The Forum was taken through the presentation covering the last quarter’s engagement activities and forthcoming ones. Where possible, service users who had been involved in each activity members delivered the relevant update:
- Re-commissioning using the National Framework for Sign Language Interpreters
- Devon Safeguarding Adults Board (DSAB)
- Learning Disability Devon Website
- Commissioning Involvement Group (CIG)
- Reshaping Personal Care Group
- Autism Involvement Group
- Unregulated Support Contract Group
- Promoting Independence Workshop
- Equality Reference Group mental health discussion
Activities coming up:
- Pinpoint online directory testing
- People with disabilities in employment focus group
- Direct Payments focus group
- Mystery Shopping of adult social care call handling
- DCC strategic plan focus group
The group were encouraged to contact the chair if they were interested in being involved in these groups.
Question and Answer session with Tony Parker, Hannah Hurrell, Deon Falcon and Marisa Cockfield, Tony Parker – Head of Communications for DCC.
Hannah Hurrell – Senior Project Manager, in capacity as manager of Social Care ‘Front Door’ project. Deon Falcon – NEW Devon CCG Communications and Engagement. Marisa Cockfield – Equality and Diversity Lead South Devon and Torbay CCG.
The theme of the discussion was health and social care advice and information.

The forum was informed about changes that have been made to the meeting based on the feedback at the last meeting which included speech to text support.
Input to the Health and Wellbeing Board
The last Health and wellbeing Board, it had not been a usual meeting of the Board as it was the day of the general election.
