The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero has launched a grant competition to support projects offering subsidised training places in the retrofit and energy efficiency sector. There is a total of £8million available in Phase 1 of the programme.
Training providers and further education colleges can apply for up to £1million to provide training in one or more of the following work packages:
Work Package 1: Home Retrofit professionals
Work Package 2: Fabric Insulation and Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Installation
Work Package 3: Entry-level courses
Work Package 4: Skills for professionals working on Non-Domestic Buildings
Projects must provide training to individuals currently working in or entering the sector.
The fund is open to training providers including Further Education colleges, training academies, manufacturer training centres and Green Construction Advisory Panels. Applicants must have relevant experience in delivering training that aligns with the work packages.

Grant funding to deliver accredited training to support the scaling up of the retrofit and energy efficiency sectors
