Theatre Improvement Scheme

Theatres Trust’s Theatre Improvement Scheme is inviting applications for capital grants to help theatres to improve their environmental sustainability. The funding is offered by Theatres Trust in association with the Wolfson Foundation.

The scheme is open to theatres with a charitable or not-for-profit legal structure, including local authorities or Town Councils that own and/or operate a venue. You must run a year-round programme of live performance, of no less than 30 performances a year of theatre, dance, comedy, musicals.

You can apply for a grant of up to £20,000 towards your building or equipment and this can be for a range of projects that help to reduce environmental impact. This can include replacement windows, energy-efficient heating, insulation and other projects to reduce energy use and benefit the environment.
