The James Dyson Award is an international design award that celebrates, encourages and inspires the next generation of design engineers. The award is open to product design, industrial design and engineering students (or recent graduates).
This year’s competition is asking entrants to design something that solves a problem. The aim is to support designers who think differently, to create products that work better.
There are £5,000 prizes for national winners in each of the participating countries as well as £30,000 for the international winner, £5,000 for international runners up and £30,000 for the sustainability winner.
