The David Gibbons Foundation promotes the welfare and relief of those suffering from financial hardship; the elderly; people who are physically or mentally unwell or affected by learning disabilities. Beneficiaries must live in Devon, with a priority to support people living in East Devon.
Applications are accepted both from not-for-profit organisations and community groups, as well as professionals applying on behalf of individuals.
Exclusions apply, for example applications are not accepted for new flooring for tenants moving into new housing, or overseas trips of any kind.
The Trustees meet every two months to discuss applications. The Trust provides details of the number of grants awarded and average grant sizes on its website.
