StartSmart is a new business support programme designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs and start-up businesses across East Devon.
The programme includes:
- small business grants to support early development costs
- one-to-one mentoring in partnership with the University of Exeter
- specialist support with developing business plans
- training workshops to build confidence and essential business skills
- affordable workspace opportunities to help businesses grow
Grants up to £2,500 are available to help with set-up costs for entrepreneurs who are ready to launch their business in the next 3 months and new starts that have commenced trading in the last 3 years.
The programme is open to aspiring East Devon entrepreneurs, start-ups and early -stage businesses (up to three years old).

Applications for the grants will be reviewed and scored monthly until all funding is allocated
