Not-for-profit organisations with a community project in Plymouth or Barnstaple can apply to the Clark Foundation for a capital grant towards building or equipment costs. The funding can be used for the following types of projects:
- health and wellbeing
- village halls and community centres
- countryside
- the arts
- heritage and churches
- education
- youth groups
- sport and leisure
You can apply for a community grant for any amount over £1,000: most grants are for less than £10,000. You can also apply for a small community grant of between £250 and £1,000.
Not-for-profit organisations can apply, including registered charities, CICs, schools and local councils.
The Clark Foundation only accepts applications from not-for-profit organisations based in Somerset, Plymouth, Barnstaple or Kendal.

Grants for capital costs or equipment for projects in Barnstaple or Plymouth.
Application deadline:
Apply any time for a small grant. The next deadlines for grants over £1,000 are 15 May 2026, 15 August 2026 and 15 November 2026.
