The Regulators’ Pioneer Fund has a budget of £5.5m from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. The fund will support innovative, ambitious, collaborative projects that make it easier for businesses to navigate the range of business regulations and, in turn, help them to bring innovative products and services to market.
Projects can be led by regulators or local authorities and should focus on creating a regulatory environment that fosters business innovation and investment. The aim is to create a more joined-up, efficient and effective service to businesses.
A range of project types are accepted including research and development activities, trials, pilot studies, and exploring how innovative measures can be implemented in order to improve the regulatory experience for businesses, innovators or the public.
Your project’s total funding can be up to £1,000,000, with a minimum of £50,000. Applicants are encouraged to contribute towards the project costs with their own funding or with staffing resources or equipment.
