Electricals Recycling Fund

If you have a project that would make it easier for the public to repair, reuse or recycle their electricals, you can apply for a grant from Material Focus, a not-for-profit organisation working to prevent household electricals from being hoarded or thrown away.

The Electricals Recycling Fund is open to all kinds of registered organisations including local authorities, waste collection authority areas, contractors, charities, non-profits, community organisations, producer compliance schemes and retailers.

Funding is available for two types of projects:

  • Projects to grow existing collection methods for small electricals – apply for up to £100,000
  • Projects to innovate new approaches to reusing and/or recycling electricals – apply for up to £50,000

Projects can include introducing kerbside collections or adding collection/drop-off points and bring banks.

Focus of fund/fund aims:

Funding for projects that expand or trial practical ways for people to repair, reuse and recycle their electricals
