Audit of accounts – public notice

Notice is given that in accordance with Regulation 10 of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, the Authority publishes the audited accounts of Devon County Council and Devon Pension Fund together with the Independent Auditors’ Reports for 2024/25.

Unqualified opinions on the financial statements for 2024/25 were issued on 26 November 2025.

The Independent Auditors are unable to formally conclude the audit and issue an audit certificate for Devon County Council for 2024/25 in accordance with the requirements of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 (the Act) and the Code of Audit Practice until they have received confirmation from the National Audit Office that the NAO has completed its own work for 2024/25 in respect of Whole of Government Accounts.

Any local government elector for the area of the Council has a right to:

  • inspect and make copies of the statements of accounts. If the online version is not readily accessible to you in the format you require then please contact devonfinanceservices-mailbox@devon.gov.uk or the address below or call 01392 383311 and accessibility requirements can be explored; and
  • obtain copies of the statements of account on payment of a reasonable sum for each copy. This sum may be waived if the format of the Statement of Accounts on the website does not meet an individual’s accessibility requirements.
