The Early Years and Childcare Service is currently working with Public Health Nursing to review the Devon offer regarding the ELIM and integrated review processes. Updates on training to consider interventions and resources will be available after half term.

Jane Burchall will be joining us at a briefing session aimed at early years and childcare providers and delivering on the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and the EYFS. Dates: Friday 19th January (10.30am – 11.30am) and Monday 22 January (6.30pm – 7.30pm).

Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners to start January
Learn Devon and Devon Early Years and Childcare Service are working together to offer NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners (EYP). This will be a full and relevant DfE approved qualification. The course will start in January 2024 with plans to run more courses in the future.
Change to the EYFS framework – 4th January 2024
From the 4th January 2024, two revised frameworks will replace the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Stronger Partnership Hub (SPH) South West Training – The Importance of Emotional Regulation
The Stronger Practice Hub (SPH) programme was launched in November 2022, as part of the Department for Education’s Early Years Education COVID-19 Recovery Package. The SPH for the South West will be delivery training on Emotional Regulation in the new year.
