30 hour funding: deadline to apply for and receive a code to access funding from Autumn 2023

In order to access 30-hour funding from Autumn Term 2023, parents need to have applied to HMRC through their Government Gateway Account and received a code by 31st August 2023.

Lady Seaward’s Church of England Primary School: proposal to change the age range

It is proposed to lower the age range of Lady Seaward’s CE Primary School from 4 – 11 years to 2 – 11 years of age with effect from 1st January 2024.


Two consultations from the DfE about safeguarding

The Department for Education (DfE) has launched a consultation on revisions to the Working Together to Safeguard Children statutory guidance for England. They have also launched a consultation on revising non-statutory advice to support practitioners in the processes of sharing information in England. Consultations close on 6 Sept 2023.


Disability Access Funding (DAF)

Disability Access Funding (DAF) is funding for early years providers to support children with disabilities or special educational needs. It aids access to early years places by supporting providers in making reasonable adjustments to their settings.


Portage Workshop for practitioners and parents

The Portage Workshop is an introduction to the Portage Approach to working with children with additional needs and their families. The 2 day workshop is suitable for anyone interested in finding out more about the Portage model, including early years practitioners, therapists and parents. Dates: 28th September and 5th October in Exeter (face to face).


Ofsted consultation

This consultation seeks your views on proposals for changes to Ofsted’s post-inspection arrangements, including how they handle complaints about their work. The closing date for the consultation is Friday 15th September 2023.
