Information sessions around funding for childcare
Devon Early Years and Childcare Service are running online sessions in February to give an overview on what funding is available, the eligibility criteria, how they need to apply for different funding streams and how a child can access funded time. Providers, please share with families, parents and carers.
New resources to support supervised toothbrushing programmes and tackle tooth decay
A new website has been developed which includes resources needed by all those involved in getting toothbrushing programmes set-up and running. There is also a fully funded session on Oral health running on 12th March at 6pm – open to all early years and childcare practitioners and out of school practitioners.

Early Years Experts and Mentors programme
The DfE announced in 2021 they would be investing £153 million to strengthen teaching in the early years and address the impact of the pandemic on the youngest children. One of the ways the DfE supports early years practitioners is through the Early Year’s Experts and Mentors programme.
