Thank you to all those who have completed their Provider Self Update. This has enabled parents to see what provision is available in their local area on Find Childcare in Devon and has enabled us to assess the sufficiency of provision and plan for the next year. We will be asking you to check your details regularly.

Playwork Skills Bootcamp – new training coming soon!

We are excited to let you know about a new Playwork Skills Bootcamp coming in January 2025! Delivered by Devon County Council, this comprehensive training course is designed to enhance your understanding and support of children’s play through a series of engaging modules.


Invitation to conference on recognising and responding to neglect – Tues 10 December at Westpoint

Fully funded places have become available at the recognising and responding to neglect conference which will take place on Tuesday 10th December (9.30am – 4pm) at Westpoint Conference Centre, Nr. Exeter.


Ofsted news for childminders

Information around the new changes for childminders and childcare on domestic premises. There is also a webinar for childminders running on 16 December from 7pm to 8pm focussing on the importance of the prime areas of learning.


How to complete the spring headcount / amendment tasks – virtual training session

Have you recently taken over responsibility for using the Provider Portal or need a refresher? The Early Years Funding Team will be running virtual training sessions in January on to how to complete your Spring Headcount and Amendment tasks
