This is to confirm that the panel met last week to review Individual Inclusion Funding applications for Autumn 2022. Autumn 22 funding will apply from 1st September and will be added to any Early Years funding claims made for the Autumn funding period (1st September – 31st December 2022).

Changes to measures and guidance for managing COVID-19 in education and childcare settings from Friday 1 April
On Tuesday 29 March, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Sajid Javid, set out the next steps for living with COVID-19 in England from Friday 1 April. Free COVID-19 tests will continue to be available for specific groups, including eligible patients and NHS staff, once the universal testing offer ends on Friday 1 April.

The collection of Early Years Attendance data will resume for November. Providers will receive an email with a unique link to the survey on Thursday 4th November 2021 for return on Wednesday 10th November 2021.

COVID-related closure notifications
The Department for Education (DfE) have been made aware by Ofsted that some Early Years settings have not been reporting COVID-related closures to them because they think this is no longer a requirement.
