Domestic Violence and Abuse Training

The Devon Children’s Safeguarding Board and Devon Adult’s Safeguarding Board jointly manage Devon’s commissioned Domestic Violence and Abuse safeguarding training as part of their overall safeguarding training programmes across Devon. These are accessible to all front-line workers and managers in Devon. Agencies outside Devon are also welcome to attend although there will be very much a Devon focus on working practices.

Courses are delivered by a specialist team of trainers who have been delivering domestic violence and abuse training in Devon for over 10 years.

The aim of these programmes is to raise awareness and explore potential ways of dealing with the issue in your professional practice. However, you need to be aware that the subject matter is powerful and can at times be challenging. It would be advisable to discuss attendance on the course with your manager so you can jointly identify any support needs that you might have.
