Devon County Show competition terms and conditions
The Promoter of this prize draw is Devon County Council of Corporate Communications, Room G36, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter, Devon EX2 4QD.
The prize draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.
The prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
To enter you must provide your email address and only one entry per person is permitted. You will also have the option to give your consent to sign up to receive the Promoter’s weekly ConnectMe newsletter. Entry to the prize draw is subject to a participant providing their email address, and their express consent to receive the Promoter’s ConnectMe newsletter.
The opening date for entries is Saturday 3 May 2025. The closing date of the prize draw is 1pm on Friday 9 May 2025. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind.
A winner will be chosen by random draw, by a computer process on Friday 9 May 2025 (“Draw Date”) from all valid entries.
The winner will receive a family ticket (up to 5 people) for entry to the Devon County Show on either Thursday 15 May, Friday 16 May or Saturday 17 May 2025. Transport to the event is not included.
The winner will be notified by email on Friday 9 May 2025 and must confirm receipt to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to the Promoter’s notification email within three days of being notified by the Promoter, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
The prize will be sent to the winner by email within two days of the Promoter receiving the prize winner’s response.
The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered – so make sure you are free to attend the Devon County Show on either Thursday 15 May, Friday 16 May or Saturday 17 May 2025.
The prize is supplied by Devon County Council, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter EX2 4QD. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do.
The Promoter will send the surname and county of the prize winner to anyone who emails socialmedia@devon.gov.uk within one month after the closing date stated in condition 4.
Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Notice. See also condition 13 with regard to the announcement of winners.
These terms and conditions and this promotion are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
