Cheaper broadband and phone packages – Ofcom. Social tariffs are cheaper broadband and phone packages for people claiming Universal Credit, Pension Credit and some other benefits. Some providers call them ‘essential’ or ‘basic’ broadband.
Council Tax and Housing Benefit
If you are on a low income, out of work or receive state benefits you may be eligible for help towards your council tax or rent. The amount you receive depends on your income and circumstances. Your local council’s website will have more information on this support.

Fuel help and support – Crisis and Resilience Fund
Devon County Council’s Crisis and Resilience Fund is open to households on low income who are encountering unexpected financial shocks. There is also a support scheme for low income households who use off-grid heating oil and are struggling to cover their energy costs:

The EmPower scheme from Citizen’s Advice Devon aims to empower people in Devon to take control of their own energy usage by providing them with the knowledge, skills and resources for this to be possible.
