Public Realm Fund overview 2021/22

To provide further support to our local communities an additional £100,000.00 fund, for Town and Parish Councils, was available in 2021/22. The fund was for projects/works that would enhance the public realm, which includes the repair and refurbishment of highway street furniture, such as lighting columns, finger posts, seats, and bollards. This funding was in addition to our existing Highway Maintenance Community Enhancement Fund which was available to support highway maintenance works and projects.

We received a total of 20 bids and approved 17 of those (see table below). We provided over £40,000 of funding to enable projects valuing over £83,000 to be undertaken in the community.
