LDPB AGM meeting summary March 2023
The Learning Disability Partnership Board AGM was held on March 28th 2023. The theme for the event this year was Living Well in Devon. Topics explored came from discussions on the council’s revised Vision statement and Living Well in Devon strategy shared with Board members at the end of 2022.
Presentations were delivered by a NHS Lead in Learning Disability and Autism, Devon People First, Hikmat Devon CIC and Devon County Council officers.
Subjects discussed were Learning Disability Champions in GP surgeries across Devon, Making assumptions about different protected characteristic groups and Finding paid and unpaid work. There were updates from a Senior Commissioning Officer on how feedback given during a Housing with Support Project had been used, The Friendship Group facilitated by Devon People First and The Health and Social Care Group.
