Special Schools Brief Notice

Following the consultation and brief notice period, the Devon County Council Cabinet Member has now approved the proposals to increase places at Bidwell Brook, Barley Lane and Lampard Schools  as follows:

Barley Lane School, Exeter from 54 – 60 day places with immediate effect.

Bidwell Brook School, Totnes from 80 – 95 day places with immediate effect.

Lampard School, Barnstaple from 100-110 places with immediate effect.

These changes will safeguard an improved level of accessibility and ensure there is access to services and provision for all children within their local communities and as near to home wherever this is possible.

Consultation outcome: Four responses were received to the initial consultation.  For details of the responses received and the outcomes, please see the ‘Full Proposal’ under ‘Consultation method’ below.  There were no responses received to the Brief Notice.
