Parracombe Definitive Map Review Informal Consultation

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 requires the County Council to keep the Definitive Map of Public Rights of Way under continuous review and to make modifications where it appears that routes should be added, regraded, amended or deleted. A review of the Definitive Map is currently being undertaken in the parish of Parracombe in North Devon, with previous consultations having been carried out in July 2018.

We are now consulting on the investigation of one further proposal for changing the Definitive Map in Parracombe and also carrying out informal consultations on a proposed footpath diversion.

For more information please see the Schedule and maps below.

Maps showing the proposals to are also available for inspection by appointment with the Clerk to the Parish Council, and at the North Devon Council, Lynton House, Commercial Road, Barnstaple, and during office hours at the Public Rights of Way Service, Lucombe House, County Hall, Exeter.

If anyone has further evidence in support of or against the proposals shown or any additional suggestions to make concerning other alterations to the Definitive Map for Parracombe parish, please contact us by 2 August 2019.
