Consultation:
North Devon Link Service Consulation
Proposed closure of North Devon Link Mental Health and Wellbeing Service in Barnstaple, Bideford and Ilfracombe
Devon County Council ran a consultation from 22 February to 9 May 2023 on the future of the Link Service. The Council is undertaking a further period of consultation from Monday 6 November until Wednesday 6 December 2023 (midnight) to provide people with more information and an additional opportunity to help us consider the future of the North Devon Link Service.
If you have responded to the previous consultation, you are not prevented from responding again and we welcome any further contributions you wish to make. All the responses received from the previous period of consultation will also be taken into consideration. This is an exercise to expand upon the consultation already undertaken.
This consultation document includes additional information on current and potential future alternative services. It also includes information about how transitions to new services could happen should Devon County Council Cabinet approve the proposal. As this document contains further information not in the previous consultation material, we encourage everyone interested in the future of the Link Service to read the information in this document, as it may contain information you have not seen previously.
We want to make the right decisions for individuals, ensure our statutory duties are being met, and improve the outcomes people are achieving in a way that meets their aspirations and expectations. We want to ensure this is done in a financially sustainable way, which ensures DCC meets its statutory duty to deliver a balanced budget.
How can I have my say?
Please complete our consultation form which provides you with an opportunity to contribute to the consultation.
