Consultation
Have Your Say: Public Consultation on removal of Highway Trees for the Kellands Lane, Okehampton Shared Path Proposal
Devon County Council is excited to propose a shared path for both cyclists and pedestrians on Kellands Lane, connecting to the new Okehampton Interchange Rail Station. To make this possible, the existing footway will need to be widened.
Key Information:
- Why is this important? This path aims to improve accessibility and connectivity for all users.
- Impact: Several highway trees will need to be removed during construction (see the shared path tree consultation drawing for details).
Please see the tree consultation notice and proposed site plan.
Our Commitment to the Environment:
- Wherever feasible, immature trees will be carefully transplanted within the highway verge.
- New trees will be planted in the area behind the path.
We value your input on this proposal, especially regarding the tree removal process.
