Buckland Brewer Definitive Map Review Informal Consultations

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 requires the County Council to keep the Definitive Map of Public Rights of Way under continuous review and to make modifications where it appears that routes should be added, regraded, amended or deleted. A re-consultation is now taking place on one proposal to modify the Definitive Map in the parish.

Maps showing the existing public rights of way and any proposals to modify the Definitive Map, are also
available for inspection by appointment at:-
– Clerk to Buckland Brewer Parish Council;
– The offices of Torridge District Council, Riverside House, Bideford;
– Public Rights of Way Service, Great Moor House, Bittern Road, Sowton, Exeter, EX2 7NL;

If anyone has further evidence for or against the proposals in connection with the routes concerned, or any additional suggestions for other alterations or additions to the Definitive Map for Buckland Brewer parish, please contact us by 19 September 2025.
