Devon Autism Ambassador Scheme
Dimensions For Autism (DFA) have recruited a group of Autism Ambassadors who will work with us to represent the discussions held by the wider DFA network.
The Autism Ambassador Scheme in Devon aims to enhance the involvement of autistic individuals in local decision-making and improve autism services based on the successful model from Torbay.

Role of Autism Ambassadors
- Participation: Autism Ambassadors will participate in meetings and discussions on Adult Social Care issues and support available autistic adults in Devon.
- Speaking Up: They will speak on behalf of the wider network of autistic adults supported by Dimensions for Autism.
- Raising Awareness: The ambassadorial role involves raising public awareness of issues facing autistic adults.
Getting Involved
This scheme represents a significant step towards empowering autistic individuals in Devon and ensuring their voices are heard in shaping the services that affect their lives.
The role of the Ambassadors is to take part in, and influence decisions about:

Autism Involvement Group(AIG)
The Autism Ambassadors Scheme has replaced the Autism Involvement Group as our means of hearing from autistic adults.
