The Learning Disability Partnership Board met on February 23rd 2026.
Part one:
A Community Transport Adviser came back to the Board to share progress she had made on creating new easy read travel leaflets. She asked members their ideas for why people don’t use the bus and things to include in a checklist on how to use a bus.
Part two:
Members of the Learning Disability Health and Social Care Group shared a presentation on barriers people face when trying to independently apply for an adult social care assessment. Board members (carers, ambulance and DWP staff) were invited to contribute to this list for council officers to address at the next meeting.
