Image description

The alignment is often as close to the railway as possible. It starts at the railway at Hackney Lane, it deviates and follows the tree line around Ware Barton Copse then returns to the railway. A subway is proposed at Wear Farm and Caravan Park. The trail continues along the railway until it deviates and goes around the Wear Pond County Wildlife Site following the tree line. Then at Luxton Marsh some raised boardwalks are proposed to build across the marsh and combat the level differences. At Luxton Steps the trail will intersect the existing footpath to Bishopsteignton. The trail continues along the railway until it follows the tree line around Tides Reach Pond and returns to the railway. A bridge is proposed over Flow Lane. The trail will not intersect with Flow Lane. From Flow Point onwards raised boardwalks are proposed until Shute Fruit where the trail deviates from the railway and follows the tree line until the A381, where a signalized crossing is proposed to join La Roche Maurice Walk which will be enhanced to a shared use path. This will continue into Teignmouth to the junction near Morrisons Supermarket, on the north side of the A381.
