{"id":238,"date":"2024-01-31T13:21:07","date_gmt":"2024-01-31T13:21:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/workspermit-scheme\/?page_id=238"},"modified":"2024-07-22T15:38:55","modified_gmt":"2024-07-22T14:38:55","slug":"2024-permit-for-works-scheme-consultation-open","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/workspermit-scheme\/2024-permit-for-works-scheme-consultation-open\/","title":{"rendered":"2024 Permit for Works Scheme Consultation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Consultation Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Devon County Council has held a consultation on its permits for works scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2020 the scheme was made live and included the following types of works:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Devon County Council Works<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Statutory Undertaker Works (Utility Companies).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To further improve our customers use of the road network and reduce congestion, Devon has proposed that the following types of works are incorporated into the scheme from 1st April 2024:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All works undertaken by development companies under S38 or S278 Highways Act 1980.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The consultation will be operated for 4 weeks from 1 February 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/workspermit-scheme\/document\/devon-permit-scheme-for-road-and-street-works\/\">Permit plan\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/workspermit-scheme\/the-2021-permit-for-works-scheme-consultation\/\">Scheme performance<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/devoncc.sharepoint.com\/:w:\/s\/PublicDocs\/Highways\/Eew2ulOwUCNPq3qtYrm_qwcBxH71HC1Cq4ShMhfaA0n4ig?e=oKQdzn\" rel=\"noopener\">Proposed fee levels<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW10198891 BCX8\" lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW10198891 BCX8\">All changes are proposed to be effective from 1 April 202<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW10198891 BCX8\">4<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW10198891 BCX8\" data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Consultation Outcome<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The public consultation received only positive response.
