It has strengthened my understanding of behavioural science and how people make decisions, which has helped me tailor my approach to each person I work with. Professionally, I\u2019ve become more reflective, more organised, and better at planning and delivering personalised enabling.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What skills have you developed so far? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I have developed a wide range of skills, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stronger communication and relationship\u2011building with the people I enable<\/li>\n<li>Improved observation and assessment skills<\/li>\n<li>Better understanding of behaviour\u2011change techniques<\/li>\n<li>Better record\u2011keeping and outcome tracking<\/li>\n<li>Increased confidence in problem\u2011solving and adapting support to individual needs<\/li>\n<li>Better understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and person\u2011centred approaches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What support do you receive from your employer and training provider?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My employer provides regular guidance, supervision, and opportunities to apply my learning in real situations. My manager is supportive and checks in on my progress.<br \/>\nMy training provider offers structured teaching sessions, feedback, direction on assignments and required skills. I am able to reach out to them if I need clarification or extra support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Would you recommend an apprenticeship to others? Why?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, absolutely. An apprenticeship is a great way to develop professionally while gaining real\u2011world experience. You earn while you learn, build confidence, and grow your skills in a practical and meaningful way. It\u2019s especially useful for roles like mine, where hands\u2011on experience and reflective practice are essential.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Is there anything else you\u2019d like to add about your apprenticeship experience? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve really enjoyed being able to apply what I learn directly to my role. The apprenticeship has helped me understand not just <em>what<\/em> to do, but <em>why<\/em> it matters.
