Planning Officer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Which apprenticeship are you completing and at what level?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chartered Town Planner Apprenticeship (Level 7).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How has the apprenticeship helped you grow personally and professionally?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Undertaking a Masters degree as part of the apprenticeship allowed me to develop my written skills and ability to manage my time between work and study. Personally, it has allowed me to gain confidence as it has shown me I can achieve what I thought was never going to happen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What skills have you developed so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Confidence, analysis of plans and documents, professional writing and time management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What support do you receive from your employer and training provider?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>DCC supported me when I spent one day a week at university studying for my Masters. The University of Plymouth, as the training provider, regularly checked in on how I was managing my work and study balance and were always available if I had any questions about my End Point Assessment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Would you recommend an apprenticeship to others? Why?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes I would recommend an apprenticeship as it has allowed me to work and study at the same time to gain a Masters degree and chartership which I never thought I would achieve.
