The role is really varied, but I mainly provide advice and guidance to Recruitment teams and hiring managers on all things related to recruitment and onboarding, as well as our HR management system.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What&#8217;s your favourite part of what you do?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>My favourite part of my role is that I get to speak to and connect with such a wide range of employees across the Council everyday! Doing so is a great opportunity to hear about the work happening in other Directorates, and helps me to appreciate the work that the Council does as a whole.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>How have you progressed through your role?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>I started in the team as a Recruitment Coordinator, and last year progressed into my current role. Alongside this, I have recently completed my HR Apprenticeship, which has hugely expanded my knowledge and developed my confidence.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What benefits do you enjoy?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As well as the opportunity and encouragement to pursue an Apprenticeship alongside working, flexible working really is the default at Devon.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What do you enjoy about living and working in Devon?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>I love living and working in such a scenic place &#8211; popping down to the quayside for a walk at lunch, or heading into town for a coffee on the Cathedral green.
