I am one of the Learning Support Coordinators at Learn Devon. I’ve been working here for several years and am consistently surprised and pleased with the work that we do across Devon.
I studied Journalism at University but found myself working in education before I had even completed my dissertation and have remained in learning support ever since. I particularly enjoy meeting people, getting to know them and finding ways to help them achieve.
The impact of education for adults is often undervalued these days and therefore being able to provide so many people with such a range of courses and tutors completely free of charge is fantastic. I love seeing people progress and build new careers, it is genuinely rewarding and inspiring to be a part of.
When I’m not at the desk I like to spend as much time outside as possible; cooking around a campfire, exploring Dartmoor, swimming in the rivers or chasing waves in the sea
