A minute by the river mouth

A minute by the river mouth. Ventured out yesterday with my camera, my phone and new @jobyinc Gorillapod 5k kit I picked up this time last week @thephotographyshow. The light was dull & rather uninspiring so, I decided to stick to the coast & capture some long exposure images utilizing the gorillapod down by Axmouth Harbour. Before digging out all of the nd filters for the big camera, I decided to see what I could come up with using the @huaweimobileuk P10. To capture a long exposure, I switched the phone to its 'light painting' setting before selecting 'silky water.' This enables me to tap the shutter button, which then creates that long exposure effect for as long as you wish, for this example I chose to leave it for 1 minute. One way or another, most other phones can capture images like this too. A lot of high end phones have a 'pro' mode enabling you to select exposure lengths etc. From my past iPhone experience, there are great apps such as 'slowshutter' & 'avgcampro' that can achieve this effect too. Certainly worth trying if you are short on cash for filters or don't have a camera capable or long exposures. Finished the edit for this image using the @googlesnapseed App, where I boosted the exposure a bit followed by a black and white conversion. If you've read this far into the post, have a great weekend ☺️👍 #visitdevon #visiteastdevon #visitseaton #greatbritishcoast #lovejurassiccoast
