In 2021-22, as in previous years, the local authority will continue to set a local schools funding formula, in consultation with its schools, under what is known as a \u2018soft\u2019 National Funding Formula (NFF). \u00a0The government are expected to, later this year, put forward plans to move to a \u2018hard\u2019 NFF in the future, which will determine school funding allocations directly, rather than a local funding formula.<\/p>\n

As we move through the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the local authority acknowledges the need to make the consultation and information events via a virtual setting to allow people to attend whilst remaining within your bubbles. We encourage you to share your views with us by booking onto these events and responding to the consultation.<\/p>\n
