R&P Fees in 26\/27 \u2013 Cheque Surcharge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The R&P subscription is currently under significant financial pressure. Bank charges relating to schools have been taking up an ever-increasing proportion of our subscription fees, with much of this relating to cheque banking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We want to provide an economical service to our school customers and wish to avoid increasing our fees above inflationary rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As such, we have chosen to pass on cheque related cost directly, with a \u00a33 charge per cheque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These charges will start at the beginning of the 26\/27 school year and be taken via internal recharges as and when cheques are processed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Why a Usage Charge?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This approach avoids unfairly penalising schools that are chequeless and aren\u2019t contributing to these pressures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Likewise, it provides the opportunity for cheque users to change their working practices to minimise these fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We hope that in sending out this message with plenty of notice, it will allow schools the opportunity to phase cheques out\/down in advance of the charges coming into place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Please see an update from the Revenue and Payments Team below.
