Children and young people will either have an EHCP or are going through the statutory assessment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We offer ongoing advice, guidance and support to schools, families, carers and children and young people in order to maximise opportunities for learning, independence and inclusion so that children and young people can achieve their full potential and overcome barriers to learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our team uses a positive approach, focusing on what a child or young person can do. We offer advice and guidance, appropriate for the child or young person\u2019s age and needs (in line with the SEND code of practice) and Devon\u2019s Ordinarily, Available and Inclusive Provision (OAIP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Watch the video to find out more about the role of our team:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BXT18UNvnPg\" rel=\"noopener\">Role of the Physical Difficulties Team<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP) describes the inclusive provision and practice that all Devon schools, early years, and post 16 settings should be able to provide for all children and young people, including those with SEND, from within their own resources. This will support all children and young people to attend, engage and thrive in their educational setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It describes approaches, provision and practice that is \u2018helpful to all, harmful to none and crucial for some\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following link will provide more information about Devon\u2019s Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP) frameworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/support-schools-settings\/ordinarily-available-inclusive-provision\/\">Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision \u2013 Support for schools and settings (devon.gov.uk)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Specialist<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Team core offer<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We provide advice and support for children and young people in mainstream schools and settings.
