These set out the national curriculum programme of study for each phase in KS1 and 2 and are presented as assessment criteria. Designed to support teacher assessment of reading, statements have been grouped in what we hope is a helpful and intuitive way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We’ve also roughly matched Accelerated Reader and reading age markers and, where appropriate, book bands to age-related expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Schools can adapt these to match their own assessment policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
