{"id":5344,"date":"2022-03-11T12:13:34","date_gmt":"2022-03-11T12:13:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beta.devon.gov.uk\/schoolssupport\/?page_id=5344"},"modified":"2024-12-10T12:33:58","modified_gmt":"2024-12-10T12:33:58","slug":"attendance-support-for-schools","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.devon.gov.uk\/support-schools-settings\/inclusion\/attendance-improvement\/attendance-support-for-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"Shop for attendance support for schools"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Devon Education Welfare Service (EWS) can support schools and local authorities in achieving higher levels of school attendance by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>providing strategic advice on policy and practice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>offering advice and training on the evaluation of attendance data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>early help establishing rigorous and detailed casework to address low attendance levels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>progressing a clear escalation process to encourage improvement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>instigating an effective legal process to address parental responsibility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>maintaining multi-agency practice to address issues affecting good attendance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As a service, we are continuously looking at the support and tools that we can offer schools and LAs in effectively managing school attendance. We have developed the following tools to support good school attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a onclick=\"dataLayer.push({&amp;apos;buttonEvent&amp;apos;: &amp;apos;Information page&amp;apos;});\" class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/devoneducationservices.co.uk\/themes\/send-inclusion-and-safeguarding\/education-welfare\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Shop for education welfare and attendance support for schools<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Attendance data profile<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This tool identifies specific areas of concern for particular groups of learners and supports the school Senior Leadership Team in identifying areas for future focus.
