id=\"what-is-ketamine\">What is FIT?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Family Intervention Team (FIT) is one of Devon\u2019s <em>Level 3 \u2013 Targeted Early Help<\/em> service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They support children (0\u201325) and families with complex, multiple needs who do not meet social\u2011care threshold, but require intensive, structured support to prevent escalation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why-do-young-people-use-drugs\">When to consider FIT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Think FIT when a family is experiencing several of the following, and Level 2 Early Help is not enough:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Persistent or severe non\u2011school attendance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Domestic abuse or significant parental conflict<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Substance misuse in the home<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exploitation risks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Families known to social care previously \/ risk of re\u2011escalation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Significant behavioural difficulties (beyond ASC\u2011linked behaviours)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Crime\/ASB involvement or adult prisoner returning home<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serious mental\u2011health needs within the household<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Neglectful or harmful parenting concerns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Housing instability, eviction risk, or unsafe neighbour disputes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>FIT focuses on whole\u2011family assessment, identifying what\u2019s working and what needs to change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"trends-in-ketamine-use\">What FIT does<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>FIT provides intensive, bespoke intervention, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1:1 and whole\u2011family support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reducing risk and improving safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improving attendance, aspirations and engagement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reducing parental conflict and preventing abuse<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting families stepping down from social care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinating multi\u2011agency help<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using tools such as Outcome Star and Graded Care Profile 2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim is to reduce escalation to statutory services and stabilise families<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ketamine-effects\">Before requesting FIT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you&#8217;ve:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Used the Levels of Need tool to identify Level 3 needs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completed Level 2 support (TAF, locality advice, Early Help, Family Hubs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Talked with the family about FIT and gained consent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gathered evidence of what\u2019s been tried already<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clarified the complexity and the risk pattern you\u2019re seeing<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"physical-and-mental-health-risks\">How to request FIT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Submit a Request for Support via Front Door, clearly stating:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The needs you\u2019ve identified referencing the level of need tool<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Why FIT (Level 3) is appropriate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What has already been done (with evidence)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The family\u2019s views and consent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Priority areas for change<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Front Door may consult with FIT to confirm the best support
