We will use special robots called AV1s to help students engage with school. The AV1 robot will be in the classroom and individual children will be watching via an app linked to a tablet or phone. AV1s are made by a company called \u2018No Isolation\u2019. <br><br>They have produced <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/user\/141181407\/folder\/14962441?isPrivate=false\" rel=\"noopener\">lots of films about AV1s<\/a> which are available on Vimeo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Introduction to AV1 robots for schools\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/914359722?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope that this project will help children and young people increase their engagement and attendance at school, little by little, in a way that feels safe and manageable for the child. This is a \u2018step-by-step\u2019 approach or graded exposure. The child\u2019s views and experiences will be at the centre of the planning for this approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, this project is being piloted across Devon within five secondary schools, with sixteen children and young people participating.
