Volunteer Outdoor Engagement Assistant Role

Role description: Support the Community Engagement Officer in the preparation and delivery of environmental activities across Stover Country Park and in the community as part of the Restoring Stover Park Project. Activities are engaging and hands- on in the outdoors and may include forest school, nature connection sessions and community engagement events.

When: 1 day per week dependant on activity programme

Where: Stover Country Park and in the community

Commitment: Restoring Stover Project until 2026

Positions available: 2x volunteers

Supported by: Restoring Stover Park – Community Engagement Officer

Tasks and activities:

  • Planning and preparing engagement sessions
  • Assisting with delivery of engagement sessions
  • Looking after equipment and tools needed for delivery

Training and Skills Received:

  • Induction in Stover Country Park
  • Access to online training
  • On going support

Personal qualities and experience:

  • Reliable
  • Passionate about enthusing and inspiring others in nature
  • Self motivated
  • Interested in aiding the restoration of Stover Country Park
