A section of the Templer Way (from Pottery Pond, Bovey Tracey to Locksbridge, Teigngrace) is moving route to join with the new multi-use Stover Trail and bridge over the A38. It will then be closer to the historic line of the Haytor Granite Tramway and the bridge offers a safe crossing.
The Templer Way will no longer pass through Stover Country Park, although the option to walk through the Great Plantation and round Drumbridges roundabout to the Park remains (as the ‘Great Plantation Loop’).
The Heritage Trail route will not be affected apart from having its own grey and black logo and arrows rather than being signed with the orange Templer Way logo.
Apologies for any inconvenience while the changes take place on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 July 2016.
New leaflets showing the changed route will be available from Friday 29 from the Visitor Centre.
