We have completed a plan in order to continue to support our Key worker/ Vulnerable/
EHCP pupils in Year’s 2-5 – this will comprise of ‘Education’ Monday - Thursday, teachers
will be teaching the home learning sent to all year groups in school and childcare provision
will be provided on a Friday to allow for teacher PPA time. It is the governments
expectation that all Key Worker/ Vulnerable and EHCP pupils will access the in school
provision Monday to Thursday. We have extended our capacity to ensure that there are no more than 15 pupils per group ‘bubble’ with the expected higher numbers. The Friday
provision is only for the pupils of essential key workers to attend school as we are limited
with our staffing capacity on a Friday.
Once we have settled these groups in during the first week, with its new additions back
into school, we will then gradually reopen the school for pupils in Reception (Monday –
Thursday), Year 1 (Monday – Thursday) and Year 6 (2 days per week, days to be decided).
We will start with the Reception children in week 2, Year 1 in week 3 and then Year 6 in
week 4. This will all depend on our ability to accommodate the increased number of pupils
over these weeks whilst supporting the guidance of 15 pupils per class bubble. We will
update parents each week on our ability to support this. Those providing the ‘Education’ to Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 may not be this year’s class teacher for that year group.
