Teaching for Understanding: The Principles of Mastery Conference – 28 November
Overview ‘Mastery’ has become part of the educational landscape without general agreement on what it means and the implications for teaching and learning. At a national level funding has been made available to develop thinking around mastery in mathematics. The day will provide an opportunity to debate, discuss and reflect on the mastery teaching approach.
This conference will explore the key concepts and principles underpinning a mastery approach to teaching, within a broader context (including English and Science) and consider the challenges and implications for schools.
