EXPIRED CyberFirst Girls Competition is back for 2020
Registration for the CyberFirst Girls Competition 2020 opens Monday 2 December 2019.
Free to enter, this exciting national competition looks for Year 8 girls to form teams, and take on an online round of puzzles and challenges, all related to the world of cyber security. They don’t need to know anything about the field: they’ll learn it all along the way.
The highest scoring teams go through to semi-finals, taking place 8 February 2020 in locations across the UK, and the grand final event 15-16 March 2020, where they’ll compete in a simulated real-world cyber incident.
As well as gaining skills in computing, teamwork and problem-solving, the girls will enjoy incredible experiences – attending exciting venues, meeting senior public figures and hearing from female leaders in tech. Previous winners met the Queen as part of GCHQ centenary celebrations.
