Autism and girls workshop

This is a half day course and will cover the following topics:

  • Why has there traditionally been such a pronounced (1:4) gender difference in diagnosis rates?
  • Key areas of difference in relation to girls with autism
  • Pre-diagnosis indicators
  • Key strategies in relation to both universal and targeted approach
  • Working with parents
  • Useful resources

The workshop is interactive and focussed on positive outcomes for pupils. A key outcome will be for delegates to develop a ‘provision checklist’, which can be applied to their setting in practical terms.
