Maths training for Teaching Assistants – developing the use of the connective model and questioning to support children’s learning in maths

This course is aimed at supporting teaching assistants in teaching guided groups and increasing their involvement in whole class lessons. It will focus on developing understanding of the connective model, particularly the use of imagery and language in helping children make connections, and the role of questioning and dialogue when supporting and extending children’s learning.
