Curriculum as a social justice seminar: Closing the attainment gap

Tuesday 9 July 2019 – Mercure Southgate Hotel, Exeter, 9:15am – 12:45pm

With an increasing focus by OFSTED on the curriculum as a vehicle for minimising inequalities, schools will be particularly aware of the renewed incentive for ensuring their intent for curriculum design is clear and obvious. This masterclass will assist schools in highlighting ways in which social justice is woven within their activities, both curricular and extra-curricular and clarify thinking on how this can be articulated to stakeholders and beyond.

Key reasons to attend

  • clarify how effective curriculum design improves outcomes for disadvantaged pupils
  • learn from best practice in other schools and settings
  • articulate the thinking behind a curriculum offer.
