EXPIRED Scarlet fever – information from Public Health England
Public Health England are reporting a national increase in the notifications of scarlet fever above expected levels.
The attached letter contains advice for schools including signs and symptoms, infection control advice and recommended actions if schools suspect an outbreak. Although usually a mild illness, patients can develop complications – if schools have concerns they should contact their local Health Protection Team.
